Chapters and interest groups are the heart of the Fulbright alumni community. From community service, to networking, to sharing research and stories, our members have excelled in bringing people together in the name of Fulbright. We are excited to share that in 2024, the Fulbright Association will be chartering several new chapters and interest groups! Check out updates for each new group below:

CHAPTERS

Community Colleges

David Smith, past president of the National Capital Area Chapter, has chartered a new group made up of representatives from a variety of Community Colleges. If you want your college to get involved, let us know!

Wisconsin

While the Wisconsin Chapter was chartered many years ago, the group unfortunately went dormant after the challenges brought on by Covid-19. With the help of 3 passionate members – David Duncombe, Rhonda Petree, and Jessica Boling, the group is now relaunching!

Wyoming

Working with staff at the University of Wyoming, we are looking forward to chartering our first chapter in Wyoming.

North Dakota

We recently met with administrators and faculty at University of North Dakota and are working on setting up the new board. Keep an eye out for information sessions!

West Texas

With the addition of this group, we will now have 6 chapters in Texas!  We are working with staff at Texas Tech University to get this chapter up and running.

Riverside 

Thanks to the hard work of Roberto Rivera and his colleagues at UC Riverside and CSU San Bernardino, we will be launching a new chapter in Riverside, California. Keep an eye out for upcoming events and opportunities to get involved.

INTEREST GROUPS

India

With over 70 attendees at the first info session and 45 nominees for the Board of Directors, the excitement for the India Interest Group has already blown us away! We encourage all alumni who completed a Fulbright in India to participate in the upcoming leadership elections and share your ideas for the group.

Thailand

Chotima Chaitiamwong, Outreach Officer from Fulbright Thailand, recently joined alumni to discuss program updates and enthusiasm for this new interest group. We are currently accepting nominations for the Board of Directors – if you are interested, click here!
