INVITATION to: brazos VALLEY fair and rodeo, Saturday, October 21, 5:00 pm
On Saturday, October 21, the Brazos Valley Fulbright Chapter will host our first event of 2023-24 at the Brazos Valley Fair and Rodeo in Bryan. We will have the opportunity to participate in multiple events associated with the fair and rodeo, including visiting the livestock show and watching the rodeo itself. The Chapter is paying for the cost of alumni and visiting Fulbrighters’ (and their families’) tickets to the main events, which include the rodeo, concert, commercial exhibits, and livestock show.

The cost of carnival rides, food, drink, and shopping will be the responsibility of each individual. So plan to take along some extra cash or a credit card. There are eating and shopping opportunities available on the grounds.
If you would like to join this event, please email Ursula Winzer-Serhan (winzer-serhan@tamu.edu)as soon as possible, but no later than October 5. Be sure to give her a phone number where you can be reached prior to the event on October 21. If you will be accompanied by other family members, be sure to give all of their names to Ursula in your email message. For those with children: include the children’s ages as of October 21 so we can purchase the correct number of tickets. (Children ages nine and under do not require a general admission ticket.)
We will meet at the Brazos County Expo Complex (5827 Leonard Road, Bryan) at 5:00 pm, at the main entrance to the exhibit hall. Tickets will be distributed there, promptly at 5:00 pm. Those who arrive late will have to purchase their own tickets. Likewise, those who wish to arrive earlier in the day to take advantage of additional fair activities will have to purchase their own tickets. The Chapter cannot reimburse for tickets purchased by participants themselves.
Rides to and from the event are the responsibility of the participants themselves; rides are not provided by the Chapter.
This invitation is extended only to alumni and visiting Fulbrighters and their own family members or a significant other.
