Aanya is a rising senior at Virginia Tech studying Political Science with a minor in Philosophy and a growing concentration in public policy and international affairs. Advocacy has been at the center of her path so far, from organizing efforts with Reproductive Freedom for All to representing the organization on a lobby day visit pushing for policy change on reproductive rights. That same drive toward justice and global engagement has shaped her interest in international law and education, which she is looking forward to exploring further on an upcoming study abroad trip. Originally from Ashburn, Virginia, she spends her downtime playing pickleball, cooking, and hanging out with her dog. She is excited to bring this energy to the Fulbright Association as an Advocacy and Chapter Engagement Fellow this summer.
