In Remembrance: Honoring Yaron Lischinsky and Sarah Milgrim’s Legacy of Bridge-Building and Peace

On behalf of the Fulbright Association, we extend our deepest condolences on the tragic loss of the Israeli staff members who dedicated themselves to the mission of education, diplomacy, and global understanding. Their commitment to fostering meaningful connections across borders was a testament to the ideals we hold dear, and their absence leaves a profound void in our hearts.

At the core of the Fulbright Program is the belief that knowledge, exchange, and collaboration can bridge divides and cultivate peace. These staffers embodied that vision, working tirelessly to advance international cooperation and build relationships that transcend differences. Their contributions will never be forgotten, and their legacy will continue to inspire generations to come.

Please know that the entire Fulbright community stands with you in mourning. We share your sorrow, and we honor the impact these remarkable individuals had on the world. May their memory be a blessing, and may we continue to uphold the values they so passionately championed.

With deepest sympathy,

Best Regards,
Walter R. McCollum, PhD

  1. Extremely sad and senseless killing of two young people with a full life ahead of them! Rest in peace.
