My favorite part about here is working with the Fulbright Association’s Board of Directors. It’s exciting to see how passionate they are about their volunteering and goals as stewards of the Association and the Fulbright Program. It’s fun to work with people who care so much about our mission and promoting international understanding.
I grew up in Indiana and didn’t have a thorough understanding of international exchange. The Fulbright Program allowed me to engage very deeply in a culture in South Korea, where I served as an English Teaching assistant from 2014 to 2015. I think it’s important for all Americans to have opportunities to learn about the world beyond our borders.
I like to go on walks with my dog, Gimli. My husband and I recently moved to Alexandria, Virginia, so we are enjoying getting to know the area.
The 2021 Fulbright Prize was awarded to Bono in Washington DC in April 2022. This was my first big event post-COVID, and it was exciting to see and feel the energy of the Fulbright Association community as we reconvened for the first time.
