Dear Fulbright Community,
I am both honored and excited to return to the Fulbright Association in the role of Interim Executive Director. During this transition period, the Board of Director’s search committee will embark on the process of identifying our next permanent Executive Director. Given that this search may take some time, I am committed to collaborating strategically with the Board, engaging with our community, offering counsel, and supporting our internal team as we continue to implement key events and initiatives over the next six months.
This year’s theme is United and Engaged. Now more than ever, the principles of mutual understanding are essential to bridging divides and fostering inclusive solutions that allow all people to thrive. These values resonate deeply as we move forward in our mission.
In my first week, I was warmly welcomed by many members of the Fulbright community, worked closely with our Board leaders, and met frequently with our internal team. I want to express my heartfelt thanks to everyone for their time, energy, and dedication. I am confident that the Fulbright Association will not only navigate this transition smoothly but will also continue to prioritize our community’s needs by engaging with Fulbright alumni and supporters in meaningful ways.
As we know, the impact of Fulbright is immeasurable—it is through our collective efforts that we unite the world. This is a pivotal year to be with us, in person. On March 12, we will host our annual Fulbright Advocacy Day on Capitol Hill in Washington DC. I strongly encourage you to attend, as there is no more powerful voice than that of a Fulbright alum.
