After six months of starting the process of applying for the Fulbright scholarship, I was selected amongst 500 applicants to be one of the 71 candidates from Mexico to behold the Fulbright Scholarship to pursue postgraduate studies in the US. I can still remember the joy I felt, having been one of the favorite days of my life.
In 2013, one great experience over my period as a grantee was to assist the Fulbright Seminar in Providence, Rhode Island, where I had the opportunity to meet other Fulbrighters and learn about their culture, projects, and ideas.
