Poster Presentation FAQs

Fulbright National Conference

These FAQs are intended for those who have been selected to present in a Poster format during the conference.

Q. What size dimensions should my poster be?

A. Your poster should be no larger than  3’W x 4’H.

Q. Can I assume I can have my poster printed at the conference site, or can I mail it ahead?

A. It will be safest to bring it with you. We recommend bringing it in a tube on the plane as a carry on. The Fulbright Association cannot receive mailed posters. Please note that the Fulbright Association is unable to print it for you.

Q. When should I arrive with my poster?

A. Poster session set-up begins at 8:00 am Friday, November 2. This will allow for the greatest amount of conference exposure. If you are not arriving until later, you will have access to the room all day to put up your poster. Conference planners will have tape available to be applied to the back of your poster.

Q. Should I plan to be standing by my poster starting at that time?

A. You are only “required” to be by your poster for the Saturday morning session designated specially for Poster sessions and networking (9:00 – 10:10 am). Another good time is during coffee breaks, as people will surely be browsing the posters; 10:30 – 11:00 am on Friday would be great, but not absolutely essential. Otherwise, you are free to stand by your poster whenever you want.

Q. What if I have additional questions about this format?

A. Please feel free to email us at conference@fulbright.org. We are happy to help answer your questions.
