A tribute to the human spirit and our aim to decipher the secrets of Nature through science. Considered perhaps the first scientist, Galileo Galilei matched theory with observation in a time were skepticism reigned. Against the claims of the religious views, Galileo pursued science and was able to view the Universe through a different lens, embracing with his curiosity that adventurous and pioneering character of the human mind. The painting features some of the best photos of the cosmos taken by the Hubble Space telescope as well as images of the real telescope that Galileo used and his main work “Dialogue Concerning the Two Chief World Systems”. This painting is still an “in progress” piece of art.
