Kalpesh epitomizes the term, ‘a good Samaritan.’ I was pushing my mum’s wheelchair (with her in it) up a steep zig-zagging road to the entrance of a hill-fort in Rajasthan, India. Kalpesh saw me struggling around a particularly steep bend and roped in his friends to help us by pushing the wheelchair around the corner; and, they continued pushing until we reached the top of the hill. Mum never would have experienced the view from that hilltop if it hadn’t been for Kalpesh and his friends. The kindness of strangers is a gift that makes strangers into friends.
