Title: “Vanishing Mysteries of Indian Magic in a Global Context”

 

Description: Join the Dallas Chapter of the Fulbright Association and Southern Methodist University’s Dedman College Interdisciplinary Institute for a guest lecture and virtual performance by Shreeyash Palshikar, Indian magician, scholar, and two-time Fulbright grantee (he is currently completing a 2019-21 Fulbright Nehru fellowship to study Indian magic). Dr. Palshikar holds a PhD in South Asian studies from the University of Chicago and has taught at Oxford, Yale, and the School of Oriental and African Studies in London. He is an assistant professor at Albright College (http://palshikar.com). Co-sponsored by the Fulbright Association-Dallas Chapter and Southern Methodist University (with the generous support of the Dedman College Interdisciplinary Institute, the Bridwell Library, Asian Studies, and the Departments of History, Theatre, and World Languages and Literatures).
