When: Saturday September 30, 2023, 2 PM – 5 PM
Where: Chagrin Falls Library and the Adjacent Public Park, 100 E Orange St, Chagrin Falls, Ohio 44022
Bring: Show & Tell! Bring a memento from your work/travel in the international community-need not be from your Fulbright, but should be something international. We’ll have everyone introduce themselves and their artifact (1 minute per person)
RSVP by September 28, and tell us your top 2 ice cream choices. Here’s the list of flavors.
2:00 PM: Scooping of ice cream (Served outdoors, weather permitting)
2:15 PM: Greeting by Dr. Suzanne Ondrus and overview of our chapter’s news by Dr. Regennia Williams
2:30 PM: Show & Tell
3:00 PM: Presentation from Dr. Suzanne Ondrus (Will take place in the library’s meeting room.)
4 – 5:00 PM: More ice cream and socializing
Presentation: Dr. Ondrus will present on her most recent chapbook of poetry (Death of an Unvirtuous Woman) which is on a true 1881 case of domestic homicide, domestic violence, and victim blaming in Bowling Green, Ohio. The case is included in Weird Ohio and has lured tourists to Bowling Green for over a century. Trigger warning, this presentation deals with violence.
