About this Event
Messrs. Lackey and Jelasic perform some of their favourite music in this video presentation. The performance highlights two of Ludwig van Beethoven’s works including his song cycle, An die ferne Geliebte, as a special celebration of the composer’s 250th birthdate anniversary, having been born in December 1770.
This concert was recorded in the music hall of the Wagner Mansion on the grounds of Lakewold Gardens in Lakewood, Washington, U.S.A. Mr. Jelasic also performs solo piano works by several other composers including Chopin, Grieg, and Debussy. For more information about the artists and their recordings, please visit WatersEdgeRecords.com.
James Jelasic is an International Steinway Artist, a Fulbright Scholar to Paris and a Fulbright Travel Research Grantee to Budapest. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Western Washington/Seattle Chapter of the Fulbright Alumni Association.
We are pleased to have the Seattle Chapter sponsor this broadcast of our performance as a way of celebrating and promoting the international fellowship that is at the heart of the Fulbright program.
