Want to volunteer at this year’s Youth Mentoring Initiative? Make an impact on high school students by sharing your Fulbright experience with them in an online panel on International Day on Tuesday, July 27!
The Youth Mentoring Initiative is a program co-sponsored by our chapter in partnership with Yonkers Public Schools and Sarah Lawrence College. About 80 high school students from all around the country will take part in educational writing and theater workshops as part of Sarah Lawrence’s High School Writers Week.
You are invited to join the students and celebrate International Day and the Fulbright program as we raise awareness among “future American Fulbrighters.”
We’re looking for 5 to 6 Fulbrighters, both current grantees from a range of different countries as well as U.S. and foreign alumni. You’ll talk to the students and participate in an online panel at 2pm and will be able to hear some of their writing work as well, which is always a treat. Optionally, for those that would like to get to know the students a bit more, you can participate in some of their workshops earlier in the day between 11am-1pm (this is not required but is available). More details on the format will be given upon signing up and being confirmed.
If you’d like to participate, please sign up and more details will be sent.
RSVP through Eventbrite required. Hope to see you there!
