Socially-distanced biking around the city!

Join your fellow Fulbrighters for an outdoor biking adventure!

We’re planning to have three simultaneous bike meetups
(one in Manhattan, one in Brooklyn and one in Queens).

Each group will be capped at 15 people (in accordance with Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s recent guidance on group gathering size), and each group will include at least one leader from our Fulbright NY board.

Both the initial starting point locations as well as the planned routes will be given to interested participants so that they have the option to meet up with the group at the start of the ride or join along the way. (See routes on Eventbrite)

By doing this we hope to be as inclusive as possible and allow more people to attend without having to use public transit. If you don’t have a bike, we will be using Citi Bikes which can be obtained from docks that are outside, allowing for easy pickup of bikes in the safest possible environment.

The bike ride will culminate in an outdoor gathering in which all members will be asked to keep 6 ft. distance. Refreshments or food can be picked up at nearby restaurants that provide contactless transactions, or you are welcome to bring your own food/drinks. We will also purchase and provide PPE to participants (gloves, masks, and hand-sanitizer). Included in the cost of the ticket are the Citi Bike passes and PPE, if needed. (And if you already have a bike, the ticket cost subsidizes others, since the tickets don’t fully cover the passes).

All are welcome (friends of Fulbright/guests too) but
space is limited, so make sure to RSVP!
