Dear Fellow Fulbrighter

Fulbright programs in China and Hong Kong were terminated in 2020 by the president. In contrast, DAAD student and scholar exchange programs with China and Hong Kong, programs sponsored by the German government that involve over 2000 students and scholars per year, have continued without interruption.

On November 16 I will host a discussion that will examine the prospects for restarting Fulbright in China and Hong Kong. Participants include Glenn Shive, Former Director of the Hong Kong-America Center, Mary Brown Bullock of Agnes Scott College & Stanley N. Katz of Princeton University. This follows an in-person discussion on the topic at the Fulbright Association national meeting in October.

Friday, November 17 at 6 AM in Hong Kong, Taipei and Beijing

Thursday, November 16 at 2 PM Pacific, 5 PM Eastern, & 11 PM Central European Time
