Fulbright Reads: A Fulbright Association Book Club Event with ‘A Peculiar Kind of Immigrant’s Son’ by Sergio Troncoso

In this second installment of Fulbright Reads with the Fulbright Association’s Central New York Chapter, join fellow Fulbrighter, novelist, and award-winning short story author, Sergio Troncoso, to discuss his award-winning work that takes on questions of the Mexican-American immigrant experience.

How does the son of immigrants, a child of the border, la frontera, leave home and move to the heart of gringo America? How does he adapt to the worlds of wealth, elite universities, the rush and power of New York City?

Loss of culture, language, roots, and home are weaved through Troncoso’s stories of an exile adrift in the 21st century.
