Our next Fulbright chapter event – on Saturday, May 25 — will combine a visit to the Brazos Valley African American Museum (BVAAM) with lunch at Shannon’s soul-food restaurant. Both the museum and the restaurant are located in Bryan (the museum at 500 E Pruitt Street, and the restaurant at 601 San Jacinto Lane).
We will meet at the museum at 11 a.m. and when finished there, will proceed to the restaurant. This is a family event; significant-others and children are welcome! Both the museum visit and the lunch are “free,” covered by a grant from the Fulbright Association/Department of State, Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs.
If you plan to attend, please RSVP to Ursula (winzer-serhan@tamu.edu) ASAP, but no later than Monday, May 13. (Earlier would be better, so we can give an estimated number to Shannon’s.)
When replying, please include the names of family members/significant others who will attend with you, and indicate which of those are children.
