Student Registration is open to current full-time undergraduate and graduate students only. Those who are employed full-time and are taking courses are not eligible for these rates.

Registration Refund/Cancellation Policy

To cancel a registration and request a refund, a written request must be sent to conference@fulbright.org. Please enter “Conference Cancellation” in the subject line. Cancellation requests will not be processed over the phone.

All refund requests received in writing as outlined above will be processed as a full refund. Refund requests must be received prior to the start of the conference.

*Exceptions to the cancellation refund policy outlined above will be considered on a case-by-case basis and decisions will be made within two weeks after the conclusion of the event.

In lieu of a refund, you are welcome to transfer your ticket or convert the cost of your ticket into a tax-exempt donation to the Fulbright Association. Please email conference@fulbright.org with one of the below options:

  1. You may transfer your registration to a friend or colleague – See Conference Substitutions below
  2. You may donate full or partial registration cost to the FA’s mission to continue and extend the Fulbright tradition of education, advocacy and service. 

Please note: If the event is postponed due to unforeseen circumstances, full registration fees can be refunded; however, FA will not be responsible for additional costs including but not limited to cancellation/change fees assessed by airlines, hotels, and/or travel agencies. FA will not reimburse registration fees for weather, travel-related delays or cancellations, or other circumstances outside of FA’s control that prevent attendees from traveling to the event.


Refund Process

Eligible credit card refunds will be processed within 72 business hours after receipt. For eligible check refunds, please allow up to 30 business days for processing.

If your institution requires payment by check to register, please contact the FA National Office at 1.202.775.0725 or at conference.@fulbright.org. Please note, payment will need to be made by stated deadlines or your registration will be moved to the next rate.


Substitutions

Substitutes are allowed for the Annual Conference. Please send the substitute attendee name and email address to conference@fulbright.org and enter “Conference Substitution” in the subject line. The substitute attendee must be Cc’d in your email. An FA staff member will then share  a registration code with the new attendee.
